I'm so excited because we're going to buy the little beach mobile home. I'm going to have my little beach cottage! We plan on keeping our other house and renting it for a few years until the housing market improves. Then we can sell our Riverside home and buy a larger place in Huntington.
Now we have to downsize alot of our things. I'm going to store a few pieces of furniture and antiques but mostly we're getting rid of what we don't need. I have everything for the beach house already. I've been collecting for several years. I am thrilled!

This is a mobile home I looked at Sunday afternoon. This is the patio area.
The front porch. I like it because the porch is nice and large.
The livingroom. Pergo wood floors throughout. Very nice at the beach.
Dining area.
Kitchen. The cabinets are painted black. I sort of like it but I'm not positive about the black. What do you think? Everything that's dark in this picture is black. I probably would have painted it all white. It's all new paint inside and out.
Laundry Room.
Bedroom.
One of the bathrooms.
Closet doors in the Master Bedroom. Very pretty wood.
My problem. This is a two bedroom and two bathroom mobile home. It's a great price but on the small side. We would have to downsize in a major way...but it is at the beach. Also we would keep our house and rent it until the market gets better. Then we could sell our Riverside house and upgrade to a larger mobile or a condo. I would really like to do it. I'm ready to jump. Of course I'm always ready to jump. Don not so much. He will take about a zillion years to make a decision. Does this sound crazy or is it a good idea? Other pluses: the park is really nice with a beautiful club house, pool, gym and IT IS AT THE BEACH!! I could decorate it up and make it a doll house.
I'm asking for prayer for this decision to be the right one. I don't want to feel like I'm being trapped here in River City which is how I feel now. I think we would be healthier living in Huntington..clean air, less allergies and asthma, more active lifestyle, etc. I would really like some imput on this one.

I found these cute canisters at Gooseberry. They look so retro and cute. I thought I'd share them.
On Wednesday I went to Huntington Beach to look at mobiles. These are right across the street from the ocean. There are two I'm looking at again on Sunday. The one above I've already posted about. The other one I don't have pictures of. It's really nice also. I like this park because the homes are good buys and the people living there are really nice and it's right across PCH from the Pacific!
I'm really hoping it works out for one of these!

In Honor of our Friends
My friend Margaret sent me this. I'd like to pass it on to anyone who would like to have it. This is in honor of our women friends who help us, support us, love us and just make life better because they are there for us. I am so very blessed to have good friends who love me in spite of my eccentricities. So thanks to all my blogland friends and my walking around life friends, too.

I keep seeing this on different blogs lately. It really fits me right now. It seems like everything is uncertain and unplanned at the moment. I love changes as long as I'm the one making them and I have total control. Is that too much to ask? It seems like all the changes depend on others but are affecting me. So what do I do? I can only control myself. I don't like being the one who is waiting for others to make up their minds. I know what I want but I'm not sure how to go about getting it. I'm not the only one feeling this way, I know. I also don't want to create problems where there really aren't any. Uncertainty makes me uncomfortable!
I did well at Weight Watchers. I went to the meeting and have lost 4 pounds. I also feel better already. A week and one half and I have more energy!
Hugs to everybody! Susan

New Year...New Me
"Why should I diet when I have the perfect figure?"
Sharon and I joined Weight Watchers yesterday. I like it because I know it's easy and it works. It teaches you how to eat healthy and you can have whatever you like as long as you make some sensible decisions. You can't eat everything all at once but you can have those treats in a sensible manner. I've done WW before and lost a lot of weight...unfortunately if you go back to eating just anything the pounds come back. That happens with any diet. I don't even think of this as a diet, it's just eating correctly to stay healthy.
Joanne at "My Little Cottage in the Making" is starting on online group on her blog. It officially starts on Monday.
Check out her blog if you'd like to join up. Her link is on my blog list. She has a great blog to read for fun places to go and see and cute decorating ideas, too.
