Huntington By the Sea

This is a mobile home we're thinking about. The mobile home park is right across Pacific Coast Hwy from the ocean. You can walk across the street and be at the beach. There are several really nice mobile homes for sale in the park. I'll be checking them out next weekend probably.
This is one way to get an affordable beach house.

Kitchen. I like the arch and the work center and the window over the sink. It needs some decorating.

Nice bathroom with spa tub.

Living Room.

New Camera for Me?

This is the Kodak easy share camera. I might get this for Christmas. Does anyone know anything about this camera? I watched an infomercial about it and it sounded really great. It's supposed to automatic focus on moving objects or if you are moving and taking the picture, it will focus too. Plus you can take close-ups of small objects, too. Is the hype true?

A Christmas Carol

I am so excited!! Caren, Paul and I are going to see this at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. I can't wait. I love John Goodmand and Gene Wilder! Everyone in the cast is great.

The tickets are part of our Christmas presents! Yea!

Monday at the Movies: Australia

I loved Australia! It's kind of comparable to "Gone With the Wind" only about Australia. It runs 2 hours and 45 minutes so be prepared to spend the time. It moves along so the time goes fast. The cast is great, the scenery fabulous and the story is compelling. I give it 4 stars. Go see it if you can...a good way to relax from the Holiday madness.

Huntington Beach Condo

These are the grounds of the complex where there is a condo we could afford in Huntington Beach. It's not on the sand but the little ponds and streams are pretty.

Nice landscaping. We wouldn't have any yard work. I'd do container flowers though on the balcony.

I like the wood floors. The rows of mirrors...not so much.

A blank slate to decorate.

At least it has a fireplace.

I see this as having possiblilities. I like it. It just needs to be decorated and it could be really cute. It's not on Balboa but it's near the beach in a beach town. This is affordable.

Bargain on Balboa

Oh, Look...even a white picket fence!

This is the lowest priced house on Balboa Island right now.

Very homey. I like the built in book shelves. I might move the TV and put a painting there.

Yes, a cozy seat by the fire. Nights are cool on Balboa in the winter. Don't you love those ceilings, too?

The ledge for pictures is nice. Lots of windows for that airy feeling.

Ooh, a farmhouse sink with a window. Nice open shelves. Pretty countertops.

Love the dutch door, too.

Nice little cottage only $1,685,000. This is why I'm still dreaming not buying. I think Huntington Beach might fit my budget more. And Huntington's not cheap either but within the realm of possibility!

The Girls

Feisty Pepper. She is not afraid of the other cats even though she is smaller. She's only about five months old. I think she must have seen much tougher cats when she was on the street. Our cats only pretend to be tough. They are really spoiled, pampered Divas.

This is the beautiful Meekie (Amica). She's my favorite and will always be. She is the Queen and will take no disrespect from the newcomer, Pepper. She growls at Pepper and sounds like a lion or some other jungle cat.

Sweet, loving Chloe. Chloe just tries to keep a low profile and kiss up to the humans. She doesn't want to be the boss. She just wants her creature comforts: food, soft bed to sleep on, petting and a clean cat box.
Pepper is the only animal we have that doesn't have white feet. Even Jake has white feet.

Pepper

This is our new little girl, Pepper. She adopted us about a month ago. She came into our back yard. She looked so hungry and scrawny. Of course I had to feed her and give her water and she purred really loudly. That was it. She knew she had a new home. She went off to the vet to make sure she was well. She was in perfect health just really skinny.

Now she is very feisty and plays almost constantly. Max, Meekie and Chloe are not amused. Jake loves her though. She loves him, too. I think they'll be great playmates when she gets a little bigger.

Jake has a playpen that he stays in when we're not playing with him or he's not outside. He has his bed, toys, food and water in there. Pepper plays with him through the mesh and walks around of the top of the pen using it like a tightrope. He jumps up, wagging his tail. He doesn't realize he could jump out if he wanted to. They've been together in the yard for short supervised visits. Pepper doesn't like it if Jake runs toward her too fast. He doesn't chase our other cats but he tries to get them to chase him. He just wants to play. The older cats aren't much into play. They mostly just lay around and look at him like he's crazy. He has high hopes for Pepper, though. She does like to run around.
