Yankee Doodle Dandy

James Cagney...another of my Favorites! Loved him in the gangster movies and loved him in this:

The movie for the 4th of July! If you haven't seen this, you should. It is fabulous! Wonderful songs, dancing, comedy, patriotism, tenderness...this is one of my all time favorites! I love when he tap dances down the stairs of the White House! I watch this every Independence Day.

A still from the movie.

Wonderful Costumes, too.
Try to see this if you can. I promise it's great! Have a happy 4th!

I just posted beneath you at Mrs G's so I thought I'd come visit as we have matching names :)

I can just barely remember watching this as a kid, I'll have to find it and watch it this week.

Your Del Mar Fair posts (sorry you didn't get to go) reminded me of our yearly tradition of going every year. It was always a big part of our summer. We'd always try to be there on the 4th for the fireworks display that closed the fair down. Thanks for bringing up all those fun memories for me!

Oh, thank you for reminding me about this movie. It's a classic and is so fun. I'm going to check the TV guide and see if it is playing over the holiday.

I don't think I've ever seen it (bad me), but I'm sure my husband has. Sounds like a perfect one to watch for the 4th.

I hope your 4th is a good one.

I love your new header!

Hugs!
Kat
(thanks for all your prayers...I'm still sore and tired, but oh so happy)
