Adventures in Paradise

Paradise...no need to say more.
Our Chevy Cobalt...for the island.

The fountain on the way into Princeville (where we stayed).

Kauai is my favorite place...just everywhere is gorgeous! This is the front door to our Condo (graciously loaned to us by some very generous and lovely people...thanks Ray and Josie).

The sign in the entry hall. Kauai is beautiful but had red dirt that stains carpets...so no shoes are allowed inside.

The Kitchen which had anything and everything we needed.

Displays by the dining table.

The carved cabinet for the TV in the Living Room.

One of the sofas in the living room.

The Master Bedroom.

Wicker dresser in the Master Bedroom with TV to the side. That's a shell lamp on the dresser.

Master Bathroom.

Poster in the Toilet enclosure.

A visiting chicken outside on the lanai. Chickens are all over Kauai.

Another view of one of the lanais.

Landscaping around the condo.

Walkway to our condo. Everywhere it is lush, green and beautiful.
I'll post more photos in the coming days. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I want to go back right now!!

Fashion Friday and I'm Taking a Break

I'm taking a break until I get back from Kauai but I wanted to tell you about a great self-tanner.
I saw this on TV and had to try it. It works well and doesn't smell bad like some of them do. I wanted to have some color when I went to Hawaii. The fish belly white legs don't look so good on the beach and I don't want to get a real tan because of sun damage.

This is from Hawaiian Tropics. It costs about $10.00 and the color looks really nice. I thought I'd pass this on to you guys.

I'll be back after the 15th. Have a fabulous 4th of July!

When I get home on Sunday I'll be packing for Hawaii. I am so excited. I leave for Kauai on Monday! Yahoo!!!

Monday at the Movies

I saw this over the weekend. I love Sandra Bullock but I think she needed a different guy...not that he's not cute. Parts of it were funny and the scenery made me want to go to Alaska. Betty White was adorable and stole the show.

Have a marvel0us Monday!

Fashion Friday

I thought I'd show you some more cuties from Casual Living. I like the asymetrical floral on the skirt...just to make it a little different. The two sides make it "slimming" too.

The greens in this dress are pretty and look cool .

Almost a bandana print in this one. Cute detailing and a pretty border, too.

Now these are my colors...those peachy romantic hues with a floral print and flutter sleeves. Very pretty to wear to a summer wedding.

I like this more modern print in cool blue, too.
I like dresses and skirts alot since I'm short and have trouble getting pants to fit right. Men like them too!

Claremont Family Festival

I went to Claremont last night to the Claremont Family Festival. My sister, Mary Linda (above) sells her beautiful jewelry there. I bought a gift for Paul's mother's retirement party and something for my self (of course).
The festival is every Wednesday night. They have a lot of different crafts and artists, great food, and live bands. I'm so sorry I forgot my camera. Anyway it was a fun place to be.
Have a great day!

Murder ot the Cafe Noir

Last night I went with a Meet-Up group to the Avila Terrace Theatre to see "Murder at the Cafe Noir." This was a comedy mystery dinner show. Great Fun! The cast was excellent! I met some nice people, too.

This is a photo of the cast (in the back) with a few Meet-up people. It was a super way to start the summer!
